Tess Gallagher

Port Angeles (USA), 1943. She is one of the biggest North-American poets, pupil of Theodore Roethke and Marc Strand. She has taught courses about creative writing in many universities of the United States. Amplitude, Moon Crossing Bridge and Dear Ghosts are some of her most relevant titles, as well as her books of short stories Barnacle Souls and The lover of horses. In Barnacle Souls she described his life with the well-known North-American writer Raymond Carver.

She has translated the works of Sylvia Plath, Elizabeth Bishop, Menna Elfyn, Aurelia Arkotxa, Tess Gallagher, Lydia Flemm or Patti Smith. Her books have been translated in France and England, and her poems have been included in many anthologies.
