Sylvia Borren

Sylvia Borren is one of the most important and multifaceted european woman working for gender justice and parity, environment and development. She has been Executive Director of Greenpeace Holland (2010-2017) and Executive Director of Oxfam Novib (1999–2008). Co-chair of Global Call Against Poverty (2007-2013), moving thousands of people worldwide to defend this cause, and of Worldconnectors as well, a leaders net; she is the cofounder of The New Dialogue (a work platform of dutch organizations) and the President of the International Women’s Committee.

Pilar Rodriguez holds a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Deusto (San Sebastián, Spain) and a PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures from Harvard University (Cambridge, USA). She worked as a professor in Columbia University until 2002 (New York, USA), and is currently full professor at Deusto University (San Sebastián, Spain). She has published many books and articles about literature, cinema, culture and gender studies.
