Reyes Mate

Research Professor ad honorem at the C.S.I.C. (Spanish National Research Center) in the Institute of Philosophy. He has a PhD from the Wilhems-Universität of Münster and from Universidad Autónoma of Madrid. He has been the director of the Institute of Philosophy and the main researcher of the project “La filosofía después del Holocausto”. He has written many books, among others: Medianoche en la historia, Tratado de la Injusticia, La piedra desechada, and El tiempo, tribunal de la historia. He also writes articles in El País, El Periódico de Catalunya and El Norte de Castilla newspapers.

He holds a PhD in Contemporary History from the University of the Basque Country (EHU) and is Head of Research at the Memorial Center for Victims of Terrorism. He is the author of works such as Terrorism in Spain: From ETA to Daesh and Where Books Are Burned. He has advised on audiovisual projects such as The Invisible Line and The Child. He curated the award-winning exhibition Rolando 2:15-2:45: 50 Years Since ETA’s First Massacre. He is co-host of the Sierra Delta podcast and a regular contributor to El Correo and La Aventura de la Historia.
